About us

From concrete blocks to electric poles

SLJ Enterprises was started in 2015 with the help of family and friends. We began by manufacturing concrete blocks of 4, 6 and 8 inches and have served many contractors, builders and the public.

In December 2024 we started pole manufacturing at Dabaspet. We have supplied more than 10,000 poles to date and have a production capacity of 60 poles per day.

Products

Electric poles

Manufactured at our Dabaspet unit. All seven are on our BESCOM approved list.

  • PSCC pole8 m200 kg working load
  • PSCC pole9 m200 kg working load
  • PSCC pole9 m300 kg working load
  • PSCC pole11 m365 kg working load
  • RCC pole8 m115 kg working load
  • RCC pole9 m145 kg working load
  • PSCC spun pole11 m500 kg working load

Concrete blocks

Manufactured at our Tavarekere unit since 2015 for contractors, builders and the public. Three sizes, in hollow and solid types.

  • Concrete block 4 inch Typically used for internal partition walls
  • Concrete block 6 inch Typically used for internal and external walls
  • Concrete block 8 inch Typically used for external and load-bearing walls
Hollow concrete blocks with cavities, stacked in the yard

Hollow blocks

Blocks with cavities through them. Lighter to lift and lay, and the air in the cavities helps with heat and sound insulation.

Solid concrete blocks stacked in the yard

Solid blocks

Blocks with no cavities. Denser and heavier, for walls that need more strength, such as load-bearing and compound walls.

Typical uses are general guidance. Your engineer or architect should confirm the right block for your wall.

Product guide

Choosing the right pole

A quick, general overview of the three pole types we make.

PSCC pole

Prestressed cement concrete. High-tensile steel wires are tensioned before the concrete sets, which makes the pole stronger and stiffer for its weight than a reinforced pole.

  • Solid, tapered section
  • Lighter for the same load
  • Low maintenance

RCC pole

Reinforced cement concrete. Steel reinforcement bars are cast into the concrete without prestressing. A simple, widely used option for lighter line loads.

  • Steel-bar reinforcement
  • Suited to lighter loads
  • Straightforward to handle

PSCC spun pole

A hollow, round, tapered prestressed pole made by spinning the mould, which compacts the concrete. The round section is equally strong in every direction.

  • Hollow, circular section
  • Dense, compacted concrete
  • Highest working load we make

What is “working load”?

The working load is the sideways force the pole is designed to carry in normal service, such as wind on the pole and the pull of the conductors. A higher working load suits longer spans, heavier conductors and angle or end locations.

Where concrete poles are used

  • LT distribution lines
  • HT distribution lines
  • Street lighting
  • Rural electrification
  • Utility & turnkey works

Choosing the right block

A quick, general overview of concrete blocks.

What do 4, 6 and 8 inch mean?

The size is the thickness of the block, which sets how thick the finished wall is. Thicker blocks make stronger, heavier walls.

  • 4 inch: thinner internal partitions
  • 6 inch: general internal and external walls
  • 8 inch: external and load-bearing walls

Hollow or solid?

Hollow blocks have cavities, so they weigh less and insulate better. Solid blocks have no cavities, so they are denser and stronger.

  • Hollow: lighter, better insulation
  • Solid: denser, more strength
  • We make both types

Why concrete blocks?

Concrete blocks are a common walling material for homes, commercial buildings and boundary walls.

  • Good fire resistance
  • Good sound insulation
  • Strong and cost-effective

Where concrete blocks are used

  • Load-bearing walls
  • Partition walls
  • Compound & boundary walls
  • Residential buildings
  • Commercial & industrial buildings

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Call or WhatsApp us on 99020 60783.

Which electric poles do you supply?

PSCC poles of 8 m (200 kg), 9 m (200 kg and 300 kg) and 11 m (365 kg); RCC poles of 8 m (115 kg) and 9 m (145 kg); and an 11 m PSCC spun pole (500 kg). Figures in brackets are working loads.

Are you an approved vendor for BESCOM?

Yes. SLJ Enterprises is an approved vendor to BESCOM for all seven poles above. The approval was renewed in July 2026 and is valid up to 24.04.2030, subject to revalidation. We also hold a vendor licence from CESC Mysore.

How many poles can you produce?

Our production capacity is 60 poles per day, and we have supplied more than 10,000 poles to date.

Do you also make concrete blocks?

Yes. We have made concrete blocks of 4, 6 and 8 inches at our Tavarekere unit since 2015, in both hollow and solid types, for contractors, builders and the public.

Which block size should I choose?

As a general guide, 4 inch blocks suit internal partition walls, 6 inch blocks suit general internal and external walls, and 8 inch blocks suit external and load-bearing walls. Your engineer or architect should confirm the right block for your building.

How do I get a quotation?

Use the enquiry form below, call us, or message us on WhatsApp at 99020 60783. Tell us the pole type, length, working load, quantity and delivery location (or block size and quantity) and we will get back to you with a quote.

Where are your units located?

Unit 1 (concrete blocks) is at Ajjanahalli, Tavarekere Hobli, Bengaluru South. Unit 2 (electric poles) is in the KIADB Dabaspet industrial area, Nelamangala Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District.
